Through school demonstration programs, student science camps, teacher workshops and innovative laboratory training, and support projects, the NCSU Science House partners with K-12 teachers to emphasize the use of hands-on learning activities in mathematics and science.

The Science House is the “learning outreach center of the College of Physical and Mathematical Science of North Carolina State University - a program to increase student enthusiasm for the sciences and mathematics. All Science House activities promote hands-on, student-centered learning. A primary goal of The Science House is to provide a model for the interaction between the research university and public schools in providing quality science education for our children.” Activities, curriculum materials, information on upcoming teacher workshops, and more are available on this website.
The Science House offers field trips in locations across the state throughout the year. Topics of instruction include wildlife education, environmental and Earth Science, nuclear engineering, hydrology, and more.
