Magda Corredor is a school counselor who has been working with Durham Public schools for the past six years, chiefly serving the Hispanic population. Originally from Colombia, her main interest lies in educating parents and raising awareness among educators about issues confronting immigrant Spanish-speaking students as they attempt to succeed in American schools.
