I am the Lower School Computer Teacher and Computer Department Chairperson at Durham Academy. http://www.da.org I also conduct workshops with LEARN NC and CSME at UNC-Chapel Hill, NC. This unit of instruction is the work of Avery Goldstein, Richard Meyer, Liz Jasinski (Third Grade Teachers), and Sandy Lyles our Lower School Librarian as well as others on campus today and yesterday.

Tour the United States
Students will combine classroom, library time, and computer lab time to research and construct knowledge about 49 U.S. states. (Students will not research their home state.) Students will use their new research knowledge and the resources provided to construct a presentation on their assigned state using PowerPoint or some other presentation program.
