My name is Burnetta Barton. I teach 8th grade language arts and social studies at South Asheboro Middle School. This is my fifth year teaching, and I have taught 8th grade for four of those five years. I taught high school for one year. I have spent most of my career teaching language arts inclusion classes and heterogeneous social studies classes. This year I have blocked classes (social studies and language arts). I have an inclusion class and a heterogeneous class that contains a cluster of academically gifted students. This year, I will be completing my academically gifted certification.
