I have been teaching in North Carolina for the past 11 years, the last six in Wilson County. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, my teaching degree from Salem University in Winston-Salem, and my masters degree from East Carolina University. I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher, and have had the honor of being the Wilson County Teacher of the Year in 2005.
I serve on several educational committees and am a member of PENC. Because Wells School (where I currently teach) is a part of the IMPACT Technology Schools grant initiative, I also give presentations at technology conferences.
I live in Wilson, North Carolina with my two children. On the weekends and summers I enjoy traveling, boating, hiking, and biking.
