Sabrina Lewandowski
Sabrina Lewandowski is a fifth-grade resource specialist Weatherstone Elementary school in Wake County, North Carolina, teaching math and language arts to small groups of students needing remediation. She has taught for nine years, having spent the majority of those teaching fourth grade. She has a BA in psychology and a master’s degree in elementary education.
She writes,
Growing up as the daughter of two teachers, I have always thought of myself as a “natural” when working with kids. I have a lot of patience, and keep very high expectations for all my students. My diagnosis with a brain tumor in the winter of 2002, subsequent surgery, and chemotherapy regimen led me to return to school the next fall on a part time basis. I am thankful that despite all I have been through health-wise, I am still able to work with students and make an impact on their developing lives!
