Ruth Roberts is a sixth grade English/Language Arts teacher at Hill Magnet Middle School in Winston-Salem, NC. She has been teaching for 10 years — eight of those years at Hill and two as an adult education teacher. She was voted “Teacher of the Year” of 2007-2008 by her colleagues at Hill, and came in as one of the top-ten semi-finalists for the district.

She graduated from Winston-Salem State University with an undegraduate degree in mass communications, and received her M.Ed from Cambridge College in Cambridge, Massachusetts in K-12 education. Her favorite motto is: “Students don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
