Ross White
Ross White, LEARN NC’s Director of Online Learning, began his technical career as a desktop support technician in 1998. While working on computers and playing with web pages, he inadvertantly began using LearningSpace, and soon found himself coordinating the statewide Virtual Classroom and Online Courses efforts. As Director of Online Learning, Ross is the lead trainer for Blackboard developer and instructor training, routinely visiting schools all over the state.
Ross holds a BA in English Education and from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Teaching Fellow, and has taught high school English in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (in the classroom) and Rowan-Salisbury Schools (online).
When he’s not at LEARN NC, Ross is the artistic director of Dirty South Improv, a freelance writer, an improviser with teams such as Mister Diplomat and Destroy All Monsters, and a devoted cat lover.
