Valerie Skinner Hendricks taught English for three years in South Carolina before coming to Wake County. She is presently in her third year as a teacher of ninth and eleventh grade English at Leesville Road High School in Raleigh. She has a B.A. in English from Wofford College and a M.Ed. from Converse College.
