Elizabeth (Libba) R. Sager, National Board Certified Teacher, has her undergraduate and Masters in Elementary from UNC-Wilmington. She is working on a Doctorate in Education/Instructional Technology. She currently teaches at Eaton Elementary Year-Round School in New Hanover County and is a Technology Trainer for North Carolina Teacher Academy. She is also a part-time professor at UNC-Wilmington in the Education Dept and is a Watson School of Education Leadership Fellow.

Saving the environment through picture books
This lesson looks at environmental issues and man's relationship to the environment over time using main ideas and supporting details. The content comes from two picture books: Brother Eagle, Sister Sky and A River Ran Wild.
