Tom Munk
Tom Munk worked with LEARN NC from 2000 to 2003. He was responsible for linking resources to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. He has almost twenty years of experience in the fields of education and computer science, thirteen of them in High School Math classrooms. He has written for Harcourt-Brace Jovanovitch, consulted with the North Carolina Supercomputing Center, and served on the staff of a pioneering community computing center in Harlem. He is an active member of the Chapel Hill Friends’ Meeting and serves on the Triangle Area Centers for Technology Management Committee. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Sociology from Haverford College and a Masters’ Degree in Math Education from New York University.
