LEARN NC

K–12 teaching and learning · from the UNC School of Education

I am a Primary One (Transition Kindergarten) teacher at Farmer School in Randolph County. I have taught since 1983, with the first two years being private school 2nd grade. Following this, I taught 3rd & 4th grade for two years before coming to Farmer. Since 1987 I have taught either Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten, which is a class designed for developmentally young children who academically are on target, but in regards to maturation are not ready for first grade.
