Collaging symmetry
Students will create a symmetrical artwork with construction paper, glue, and yarn. This lesson will allow students to use critical thinking to create an original work. They should learn that there is more than one solution to a creative problem.

Geometry and art: Art museum post-visit
This is the third lesson in a three-part unit integrating math, writing and visual arts. In this integrated lesson, students apply their knowledge of geometry by organizing and displaying information in graphs with correct labeling. Students then compare and analyze graphs. Finally, with this information students create a geometric design.

Undersea exploration
Students explore the lifeforms and land formations under the ocean. The three ocean levels and their respective lifeforms are investigated and discussed, focusing on shape, form, and color. Students will gain a better understanding of the connections between the science and arts curriculum.
