Advanced Placement Calculus

Goal 1: Number and Operations - The learner will demonstrate an understanding of the behavior of functions.

Objective 1.03. Identify and demonstrate an understanding of continuity of functions.

• Develop an intuitive understanding of continuity. (Close values of the domain lead to close values of the range.)
• Understand continuity in terms of limits.
• Develop a geometric understanding of graphs of continuous functions. (Intermediate Value Theorem and Extreme Value Theorem).
