- Around the world in one semester!
- This lesson is a semester-long project that focuses on countries that speak the target language. Students will research a chosen country and do an oral presentation for the class. They will then research and present a current event weekly for the remainder of the semester.

- Día de los Muertos
- This lesson focuses on the cultural differences between México and the United States, while interweaving vocabulary and grammar. The lesson culminates with a paired presentation demonstrating their knowledge of the holiday and and the use of the conditional tense, while implementing key vocabulary.

- �Ya sé lo que hiciste el verano pasado! Using the Preterite Indicative Tense
- This lesson focuses on the uses of the preterite indicative tense and vocabulary related to travel. The students will read various selections that demonstrate the use of the preterite tense and draw pictures to illustrate their understanding. Students will demonstrate their understanding by creating a time line of their life history and sharing it with the class. The lesson culminates with students writing a composition entitled “I know what you did last summer” and presenting it to the class in the target language.

- Opening an Hispanic restaurant
- This lesson focuses on vocabulary and currency associated with food, restaurants, and menus. Students conduct research to create an authentic menu with a companion recipe books. The lesson culminates in short presentations and food samples.

- "Un viaje inolvidable" (Gouin series booklet)
- Students will create a 12-page booklet about a real or imaginary plane trip (within or beyond the United States). The twelve pages include a title page, 10 pages (each with one sentence using a verb or various verbs in the preterit tense) and an ending page. Students share the processes involved in preparing to travel by plane, as well as activities enjoyed during the trip itself and at the destination.
