ABCs accountability model
The ABCs Accountability Model is North Carolina's school improvement plan to "reorganize public schools around three goals: strong Accountability, an emphasis on the Basics and high educational standards, and providing schools and school districts with as much local Control over their work as possible" (NCDPI).

Computer alphabet
Students will use the computer to create, save, open and print a file called "ABCs." For each letter of the alphabet the student is expected to create a capital (using the shift key), a lowercase, insert a picture that begins with the corresponding letter, and press the spacebar before repeating this process for the remaining letters of the alphabet.

Movement ABCs
Note cards with upper and lower case letters are placed under cones. Students hop, skip, or jump to a designated cone, find a letter, then continue using the locomotor movement to find the student with a match to their letters.
