About LEARN NC
LEARN NC, a program of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
School of Education,
finds the most innovative and successful practices in K–12 education and makes them available to the teachers
and students of North Carolina — and the world.
Special areas of LEARN NC's website provide a starting point for each grade from kindergarten through high school. Primary, elementary, middle, and secondary grades each have their own design and options to meet the needs of students at each level.
What can you do with LEARN NC for students?
- Send your students here to begin their research on the web. Search interfaces for grades 3–12 help students use our online media center in ways most appropriate to their needs.
- Begin your search for grade-specific teaching ideas with our K–8 "hot topics." These key pieces of the curriculum are linked to a limited number of excellent resources on the web that you can use in your classroom.
- Find instructor-led online courses for middle and high school students, from credit recovery to Advanced Placement.
- Help students learn to use the web more effectively with our research guides for grades 3–12.
